My book is out! I’m grateful for the many people in Jordan, Tunisia, Stanford, and elsewhere who helped it reach this point.

If you’re interested in why some autocrats stay popular or why ruling monarchs are so durable in today’s world, this book is for you!

Love you Glasgow but I need a break from this weather. Fortunately I'm off to #APSA24 in two days. If you see me walking about in a sundress rather than business dress, please understand that 2 weeks in Philly will be about as close as I've got to summer this year 🙃

I reviewed the late Keith Weghorst's book. It's an exceptional contribution to the study of opp politics and a real testament to his love for Tanzania and his care for making sure his work did its complexities justice. Keith was a great scholar and an even better colleague and friend to many of us
