Sometimes I think back to one night about 5 years ago where I was practicing SMB3 off my Everdrive N8 while using a pin connector to play on my AV Famicom, and then the game crashes. I don't think I've shared this before. Mario staring at you gives it the perfect spooky touch!

This week's Unbound (べらぼう〜蔦重栄華乃夢噺〜) was simply stunning. The writer cleverly blended different historical accounts, creative hypotheses and suspense elements, and the outstanding performance from the cast alone with the excellent direction, really made it a breathtaking episode.
The title card of the Japaneses period TV series: Unbound (the original Japanese title: べらぼう〜蔦重栄華乃夢噺〜). The episode title card of the 16th episode of Unbound; the title reads 「さらば源内、見立は蓬莱」(rough translation: Farewell, Gennai; long live the idealism). [SPOILER ALERT] In a scene from the episode, Hiraga Gennai just woke up from passing out, and confusingly realizes that he is holding a sword with blood on it. [SPOILER ALERT] In a scene from the episode, Tanuma Okitsugu is visiting Hiraga Gennai whom is in a prison cell. Gennai is deeply frustrated and losing hope, because he's been charged with murder while he can't tell whether he really did it, and he feels like that he can no longer tell what's real and what's illusion. Tanuma Okitsugu holds Gennai's right hand, and moves it to Okitsugu's left cheek, then says “This is not an illusion. I'm here, Gennai. Okitsugu is here with you.” Gennai can't hold it anymore; he cries his pain out loud.
