early in the "war on terror" we sent people to "valued ally" Pakistan to be tortured too & when we finally caught up w bin Laden he'd been hiding on their soil for years; i cannot try to make sense of US postures irt MENA politics at all
For no particular reason thinking about how the George W. Bush administration sent a Canadian citizen to Syria to be tortured by Assad in 2002.
