On a whim I bought a very fairly priced N64, having never owned one before. Next day, seller contacts me to say it has a EU PSU and asks if I still want it. I said yes, and now it’s arrived with an Expansion Pak that wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Sometimes sunk cost fallacy is good, actually

Think I've hit brain plasticity death because learning how to make Pro Tools do what I want is making me want to grind my teeth to dust. I hate using DAWs, I always have. Genuinely envious of anyone creative who can integrate this into your process, because it actively kills any creative urge I have

I swap out drive pedals like they're socks but I just got a Boss MD-2 and I'm gonna be messing around with it for a while. REALLY good definition of individual notes/palm mutes at lower levels when boosting a dirty amp, and when you palm mute as much as me (read: too much) that is very important

New guitar day: finally got myself a @foie.bsky.social signature model, aka 2013 Gibson LPJ in red. 24 frets on Gibson scale. I used to have one of the SGs in this finish but sold it, and seeing as Les Pauls are better than SGs this is an upgrade. Praises to Ishibashi

I was bummed about digital MK Legacy Kollection launching before the physical game because that meant I'd be waiting to play it. But seeing as multiplayer is "not feature complete at launch" to paraphrase the reviews, digital customers are serving as beta testers in this case? Wild

Only concern re: the excellent result we just had is Cuomo saying he’ll leave NYC if he loses. If he moves to Florida, where every tri-state old fart goes when they start wearing their glasses too low, there’s a lot of old people down there. If his record is anything to go by I fear for their safety

Before I get my bass set up and restrung with new Steve Harris flats I feel like I need to record some Motown/dub shit with it. The years-old and dead strings on there now would be perfect for that sort of thing. Thankfully, I can throw that thought aside because I can’t actually play. Convenient!
