Rabid cynic by day... and night. Fan of Major League Baseball ⚾️
Outrighting Rodriguez to the minors also gets his salary out of the luxury tax equation - probably a major factor in the move....

At some point, he'll realize he's tipping his pitches with his glove so high. I could see his fingers from the tv view, and Witt absolutely knew he was running on a non-fastball. I was watching him closely.

They already have a couple DHs in Santander and Springer. Plus Devers isn't exactly a team player, and perhaps not a great clubhouse guy...

Hopefully he gets a chance to play in the game. He was born in Missouri.

I'm sorry but how is Berrios lumped in with roadkill like Francis and Turnbull. His results have been just as good as Gausman and Bassitt.

Massive disrespect.

Look at how much the Jays are paying Gimenez for 5 years and then look at Otto Lopez, whom they jettisoned for nothing...
June 2, 2025 at 2:02 AM
It probably has as much to do with the fact the Jays have 8 hitters above the league average age of 21... as well as 5 players that have spent parts of 3 years at the level and 1 with parts of 4 seasons.

A little too close for comfort...

Darn it. I forgot about Hicks' brief stay.

But the Jays definitely aren't known for power arms...

Blue Jays for sure.

He'd be an interesting guy to look at by splits (innings or pitch totals). He looks dominant early in the game but gasses super quickly (around pitch 60 maybe).
April 17, 2025 at 6:53 PM
He actually wasn't sharp at all in the first - the Marlins hitters made him look good. He couldn't find the strike zone with his fastball. One batter struck out, and none of Yesavage's pitches were within 3-5 inches of the strike zone.

He'd get creamed at AA pitching like he did today.
April 14, 2025 at 12:13 AM
According to Statcast, Yesavage topped out at 95 mph... was the 97 mph from the stadium gun? They're usually hot and unreliable.
April 9, 2025 at 11:32 PM
I wasn't counting exactly but almost all the strikeouts came on breaking balls. I'd be surprised if he threw even 30% fastballs. Got a couple whiffs on the heater.

@wilnerness.bsky.social

This sounds like something that needs more attention and understanding who made this call to haul an elderly man kicking and screaming from the stadium while stifling his free speech.
