The band got together this weekend to play a tabletop roleplaying game to help us flesh out our characters. We used "Legend in the Mist" by Son of Oak. cityofmist.co
A Legend in the Mist character sheet for "Wilhelmina 'Wilma' Gunn" played by Kenzie. The sheet shows that she is a Child of the Feud, has a memento, is passionate and resourceful. She also has a theme called, "High Notes" which includes tags such as Fiddle-Fiddler, Storyeteller and Quippy. The gaming table before the players descend on it with a sheaf of wheat and a farmer's hat on display. Adam sits at the gaming table contemplating his next move. Or perhaps he is contemplating the bean dip. Morgan sits in the GM seat. She appears to be waiting for the players to narrate their next action.

Today we experimented with arrangements on two new (to us) songs. Some old protest songs we've been meaning to get in the repertoire for a while. All the protest folk bands are doing them but we think our takes are pretty unique!

Half the band went to see @windbornesingers.bsky.social last night. Took about 30 seconds for all of us to be crying. Incredible show and so happy to have a chance to see them. Thanks to the Portland Folk Society for putting the show on!
