He mentions diVine, their decentralised reboot of Vine - the original short video app - using the Nostr protocol. In the fediverse we have Loops (or we […]

Great episode with @rabble and @mallory. In this new age of our government going after even big media creators, we need to reach out to them to help fund #socialweb decentralized distribution (that thus nobody can squeeze). That will also require a decentralized funding solution like […]

I miss Vine. I miss authentic human social media instead of AI slop. Being able to choose who you follow rather than being force fed content by adversarial algorithms. So I built a thing to bring the idea of Vine back […]

@audreyt.org was incredibly gracious and simply moved on to focus on the real topics at hand. But come on, what a disrespectful way to “welcome” a community leader.

For fucks sake. @julie-brill.bsky.social managed to completely screw up @audreyt.org’s pronouns while introducing them and then dismissed it by saying “whatever”. @mozilla.org why have someone moderate a #mozfest panel on the main stage who can’t get basic pronouns of trans panelists right?

The idea of the "cicada" is great. People who only write occasionally when they have something important to say. It acknowledges that much of what the #substack puts out is filling space. To justify a paid subscription. I'd say the same with podcasts that aren't about processing the weekly news […]

Are fediverse clients blocking users and federation with UK users and servers? Or are they hoping they’re too small to face charges under the UK OSA? Or going full KYC on all of their users and servers?

Radio New Zealand did a piece on homelessness and an elderly woman called in to talk about living in her car. The radio program was then flooded with people calling to offer a place for her to stay. New Zealand isn’t perfect but, it still strives to be humane.
