I am a woman wearing many hats. Wife, mom, homeschool teacher, crafter, and learning to homestead. And trying to figure out just how to make the world a little better each day.
We would have made plans to leave our house for the day and night. Please have compassion and respect for your neighbors.

She was very sympathetic to our situation. I do understand that our sons issues can not dictate our neighbors' holiday. But I will admit she knew noise was an issue for us, and I wish they had at least warned us they were going to be doing fireworks for more than 6 hours yesterday.

This is my favorite first canning jelly of the season. I did make some Spruce jelly last year that is great for marinades like for chicken and to go over fish.

I really love your projects. I used to work in a quilt shop for almost 20 years. I remember being at quilt market my first time and on the bus going back to my hotel spent 10 minutes talking to Faffe Fassett. I did not realize who he was till my boss told me. I was so surprised and remember it still

A rag quilt needs to be washed to get a good fuzziness. But wash at a laundromat most home washers are not equipped for the weight during spinning.

I will guess where you live you don't have roundabouts because if you did, those would be on this list. They are put in the worst places, and most don't know the rules to get thru them.

Coming home from work and my husband informing me the mounted shower curtain broke because he let the kiddos watch Pirate's of the Caribbean.

Write her a letter telling her how you feel on her 13th birthday to give her at some milestone later. My mom wrote one for me but passed away before I graduated. A few days before I had my daughter, my dad gave the letter to me, and it was the most precious thing I have from her.

I once was in the bathroom and heard my 5yo tell the 11yo that he thought that whatever he was doing did not look safe. Never ran out of a bathroom so fast.

I'm sorry you are having problems with the school program you are using. A perk of homeschooling is that you are more in control. If there are holes in the lessons, you can substitute. I know this is more work. I use youtube a lot, the library and a program called Kann Academy. Hope this helps.

My dog Kenzie. My childhood was filled with love, but my parents were much older when they had me and my younger sister. There were many health issues with both parents that led to uncertainty. My dog was my comfort and single consistency. We were inseparable.

Did you find the lake it was great for so many lessons. Last week's lesson plan had been rather boring so this was great.

Last week, we deviated from the plan when i saw a random post about a pink lake in Australia. This is again why I love homeschooling. One thing leads to another, and we cover geography, science, math, and a report.
