Hmm. Try this: in the Settings tool, use 'force stop' to halt the Sounds app, then clear the cache and data for it, see if that works.

If that is an Android device and if you still have the Sounds app installed on it, try using the Settings tool to clear the Sounds app cache and data/storage; that might make it work again.

You'll probably need to repeat monthly, as it's in "UK user on trip abroad" mode. I'm not sure why reinstalling works, as I'd expect the BBC's servers to be keeping track of Sounds account use/location rather than the app, but there we are.

A tip for UK ex-pats whose BBC Sounds app has shut down: if your appstore account is still set to UK, and you can still see the Sounds app in it, try deleting and reinstalling the Sounds app, might get it going again for a few weeks; if that works, repeat as necessary...
