Too pretty!!

Oooh they’ve got such pretty colors. I’d missed this one somehow!

Also super bonus in getting to choose your own filaments: you can just make random things random pretty colors and gradients. Which, I mean, nothing wrong with neutrals. But the other day I made a tray in random rainbow and it was so freeing

My husband jokingly calls it “the yarn problem” but I think we all know it’s “the yarn solution” 😂

It’s sooo good for that. I think there’s a subset of folks for who “tinkering with 3d printers” is a good hobby (as opposed to “do 3d printing) but I don’t have the time for four new hobbies at once 😂

The other 3 obv:
1. Do 3d printing
2. Design random stuff
3. Ogle and buy pretty filament

(Many many hours of finagling by my husband to coax it to print and it only worked once or twice)

Anyway we got a Bambu A1 mini this year and were up and running quickly and now I’ve started to actually five deep into it :)

Jumping in here hope you don’t mind — there are definitely good 3d printers out there that aren’t Bambu but the ender3 in particular is notorious for being hard to set up for consistent quality

We got one a couple years ago, and it convinced us 3d printing was too hard a hobby for us

I was at the point where I had to stop knitting too and regaining that was _so good_

(Didn’t do surgery in my case but it was years I had to give up knitting to avoid a flare up until I decided to look into it)

Yeah for sure! Should have put it in quotes. Definitely more of a jibe at him not even trying to live up to catholic ideals than a jibe at said catholic ideals
