In her weekly update post, Inori-sensei elaborated on the decision to end the #wataoshi manga after the Revolution arc, and addressed rumors that vol 12 will be the last volume. My guess is that we will have two more volumes before the end of the series, possibly even three.

It directly sets up this scene where Claire thinks about how she felt during Rod’s proposal and says she won’t give Rae away to a man or a woman. She can’t let Rae go even if she thinks it’s best for them both, and she’s known it since the moment Rod proposed.

The official English translation of this scene was just released when volume 9 of the #wataoshi English manga came out, and I’m struck by how much the translation parallels Claire’s confession to Rae in chapter 55. They really are thinking 10 steps ahead.

@marthawells.com’s new book Queen Demon is out today and I’m so excited for it! I loved the first book in the series, Witch King. The writing is impeccable.
