Fortunately, we have local organizations already doing incredible work caring for our community.

If you’re in a position to help, please consider donating to or volunteering with one of the groups below. If you’re the one needing support, these same organizations are ready to assist.

I’m committed to a path that gives our first responders the working conditions they need to do their critical work for Ferndale. Safe, healthy, and equitable public safety buildings are a tangible way we can say THANK YOU to our public safety teams as they are caring for our community.

When I served on the Finance Review Committee, we learned that the industry standard for facilities maintenance is 2-6% of the total budget, yet Ferndale is at only 0.5%. We can’t change the mistakes of the past, but we can make better choices to protect our core services going forward.

Their endorsements reflect our shared value of caring for our community and I’m grateful for their confidence.

I hope to earn yours as well at the ballot box on November 4th.

I look forward to strengthening Ferndale's relationships with Oak Park and other neighboring cities to find more opportunities for collaboration and cost savings.

(And Mayor McClellan has personally assured me that Ferndale residents will be welcome at the new indoor pool once it opens.)

That's why I’m honored to have the endorsement of Oak Park Mayor Marian McClellan. When we met to talk about the challenges and opportunities our cities share, she shared her wisdom and perspective with the warmth and generosity of a lifelong teacher.

When I decided to run for City Council, Raylon was the first person I called. She encouraged me and she's been out with me many times knocking on doors and getting to know even more neighbors.

I'm thankful for Raylon's endorsement and for her example of selfless service year after year.

Over her years on Council, Melanie worked tirelessly to make Ferndale a more sustainable, connected, and thriving community. Her focus on improving mobility and safer streets was what drew us here. Her leadership shows what it means to care for our community and I’m grateful for her trust.

Months later, Dan appointed me to the Sustainability Commission which created pathways for me to volunteer on many different committees over the years.

Dan's own service to Ferndale has made a lasting impact. His dedication to caring for our community reflects the values that guide me every day.

Their confidence means so much to me because they understand what it takes to care for our community with collaboration and thoughtfulness. I’m grateful for their example and for their trust as I work to serve Ferndale with the same dedication they’ve shown.

Ferndale's strength comes from the people who are caring for our community. I'm grateful to have the support of an organization that fights for workers.

Thank you to the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO for your trust and for everything you do to lift up working families!
