I'm honored to have earned the trust of people and organizations who make Ferndale and our region stronger. They've seen my experience on the Sustainability Commission, the Facilities Task Force, and the Finance Review Committee. They know that thoughtful, steady leadership matters.
Come on out to your polling place and cast your vote!

It's Election Day! Let's get out and vote!

If you still have an absentee ballot, it MUST be dropped in the drop box at City Hall or to your polling location. In both cases, it has to arrive before 8 PM in order to count.

Get more information about how to vote at Michigan.gov/vote.

With a pause to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) on November 1, many in our community face a new challenge putting food on the table.

Like many residents I’ve spoken with this week, I’m concerned about how this will affect Ferndalians who rely on these benefits.

Today is National First Responders Day. Ferndale’s first responders play an essential role in keeping our community safe. Their work is demanding, and the facilities they rely on are showing their age. Investing in our stations will improve working conditions and help Ferndale keep the best folks.

This close to Election Day, don't count on the mail to deliver your ballot on time. Take your ballot to the drop box at City Hall, to the drive-up drop box at the DOT, to early in-person voting at the Hazel Park Community Center, or to your polling place on November 4th.

Cities are not islands, and Ferndale's connection with our neighbor Oak Park is one that residents know well, especially through the Oak Park pool that has welcomed Ferndale families for years. When cities work together, we can share resources, save money, and deliver more for our residents.

Every time I'm out and about with Raylon Leaks-May for Ferndale, I'm amazed by how many people she knows. Raylon has been caring for our community for over a decade, first as a Trustee on Ferndale School Board, then as a Councilmember, and now as Ferndale's first black Mayor.

When my partner and I were looking to buy a house, Ferndale was the ONLY city we looked at. It was important to me that we live somewhere walkable and with access to public transit.

That's why I'm thankful for the endorsement of former Mayor Melanie Piana.

The first time I met Dan Martin, I had just moved to Ferndale. I was outside City Hall trying to attend the Environmental Sustainability Commission meeting, but the doors were locked. Imagine my surprise when Dan walks up and introduces himself as the Mayor!

I’m deeply honored to have the support of Ferndale’s four most recent mayors: Current Mayor Raylon Leaks-May, and former Mayors Melanie Piana, Daniel Martin, and Dave Coulter. Each of them has helped shape Ferndale into the vibrant, welcoming, and forward-thinking community we’re proud to call home.

I'm proud to share that I've received the endorsement of the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO! This organization brings together working people from across many different unions and professions, all standing together for fairness, respect, and opportunity in our region.

I'm pleased to announce that I have received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan!

This endorsement reflects our shared commitment to protecting reproductive rights, access to quality healthcare, and the freedom to make decisions about our own bodies.

If Ferndale can acquire the Kulick building, residents will shape the kind of gathering space our community deserves. There are a lot of options, but we have to be clear about what it will actually cost to bring the building back.

I am honored to share that I’ve received the endorsement of UAW Region 1! Many people know the UAW for representing workers in auto manufacturing, but UAW represents workers far beyond that industry.

Tonight’s City Council meeting included a tough but important conversation about the proposed renewal of the city’s contract with Flock. For those who aren’t familiar, Flock is a network of license plate–reading cameras that automatically record plates as cars pass by.

I’m grateful to have the support of Dave Coulter — our Oakland County Executive, former Ferndale Mayor, and longtime neighbor. Dave has always been a champion for Ferndale, and he knows how important it is that our city stays connected to the opportunities and resources the County offers.

I am thrilled to have the support of Sheet Metal Workers Local 80! Their commitment to skilled work, safety, and fair pay for workers reflects the values I bring as I run for Ferndale City Council.

I'm honored to be endorsed by the @nalactionfund.bsky.social in my run for Ferndale City Council. I'm proud to be an American citizen by choice rather than by birth, and I believe everyone who calls Ferndale home deserves to feel they truly belong here.
We’re excited to endorse @quinnforferndale.bsky.social for Ferndale City Council, At-Large! 🎉 For many years, Zeagler has been an active member of the Ferndale community. In recognition of her commitment to volunteerism, she was honored with the award of Ferndale’s Citizen of the Year in 2024.

Mayor Raylon Leaks-May joined me in knocking on doors and connecting with neighbors. It is inspiring to hear residents share that they want thoughtful and responsible leadership, including strong city services, careful budgeting, and clear communication. These are all central to my campaign.
