I'd have been willing to say something slighting about somebody's hair to take photos like this, fifty years ago.

Close-up, left-lit gibbous Moon (~60–70% illuminated) against a black sky. Dark, smooth basaltic plains (maria) dominate the bright hemisphere – most prominently the round Mare Imbrium near the upper left with Mare Serenitatis adjoining it, and broader mare patches lower left. The right edge is the terminator, showing strong relief in the southern highlands: dense fields of overlapping craters with crisp rims and deep shadowing; chains and wall segments give a ragged, scalloped profile toward the limb. Near the lower-right limb a cluster of large, overlapping craters (Clavius–Tycho region) is visible, though Tycho’s rays are subdued at this phase. Fine surface texture is slightly softened by atmospheric interference.

A little late for Halloween, but... 😄

I was 'putting away' after dinner, looked down at the chopping board and realised that a pair of Edible Eyes(tm) would be a perfect addition.

I'm not sure WHAT titles would be suitable for a bell pepper slasher movie...

Half a bell pepper/pimento/capsicum lies on a slightly stained chopping board. The shape of the cut internally forms the shape of an open mouth and the seeds at the top of the cut take on the appearance of teeth. A pair of purple eyes, sold for Halloween cakes, etc, complete the 'face', which appears to be screaming. To the left hand side is the picture, as viewed, is santoku-style kitchen knife, partially seen and possibly swinging down at the half-pepper.

These are the results of finding some old, old pictures from Palestine and stitching them together. The building in the picture on the right was still unfinished a dozen years later, according to Google Maps.

It was an interesting day.

I've got one in mind where somebody pretending to be a butler did it – have I just avoided all the books that made it a cliche?

'Ahead' is a head, or at least a face, over an archway. There's not much in the way of sky visible, so I headed around the corner for a better view of 'upwards'.
