Had a great experience at the WFC this year! Thanks to the organizers and to the wonderful colleagues new and old who attended. I was inspired by the conversations about equity, food sovereignty, and non-commercial fisheries research with you all!

Took students from my grad seminar on community engagement in research & my undergrad marine resource mgmt class to He'eia Fish Pond last week. We removed invasive mangrove & other plants, moved stones for a new wall and more. Students & I worked hard & loved it! Experiential learning/sweat equity
