I got started on graph paper designing blocks for my own quilts. After that I used PowerPoint or took actual pictures of the steps for my first published patterns. My last few, I used a combo of pictures and Canva. I wrote the directions like I would talk and then refined with a few pattern testers.

This quilt pattern is Deco by Lo & Behold - it came together well!
