Oof, damn! Suppose it’s not all that essential after all😭

Oh wow, look at that essential item right there.

(It wasn’t quite that fast; the first post wouldn’t post—it only took maybe three mins total, though, I maybe could have just sat on it like one friend suggested last night😆)

Gasp! I got it!!!!

I’m thinking I might bring a hot waterbottle of water tomorrow—I don’t want to harm the poor mitten by also soaking it, y’know? But heat transfer without soaking, maybe—but hey, I’ve got some time to think about it😆

*checks weather app*

I might get it back…uh…next…oh no…maybe in March? 😬🥶

I could be reading something more enjoyable—but I did like books 1&2 enough to buy book 3–but inasmuch as I recall book 2, I didn’t like it as much as 1. Plus I think my tastes have changed since…whatever year I read those.

This is what I get for attempting to demolish my to-read pile.

So instead of spending the whole thing going “???Who the fuck are you calling a drugged-out party girl???” I could be all “ah, yes, if I were you, then—“ but still get some interesting take-aways.

I do realize there’s value/authority in stating things concretely—instead of with fuzzy qualifying “if you’re a workaholic like my friends and I”—but I’ve also read one where the author managed to make it clear that it was reflective of her experience and may or may not reflect anyone else’s.

Epilogue: that book’s science was outdated. By a lot, actually. Also it was apparently a dieting book, which I am very much not here for.

I gave up on it, and switched to one on physics.

And while we’re asking questions, when was this book written because I need to know which side of the 2020 jumpscare to brace myself for (the “oh plagues aren’t a big deal anymore” pre- one vs the “when we were all insane and locked up” post- one).

Also if your science is outdated.
