But have you seen his new Dick Tracey glasses? They not only recorded everything and everyone, but they also customize advertising based on what you do and who you meet! Innovative!

There are large swaths of the United States that are still a 4-5 hour drive from the closest Amazon hub, distribution facility or Whole Foods/Kohls. And people who live in those areas order more from Amazon than everybody else because they have no other options. The USPS fills in those gaps.

Had no idea hell was that windy. Would have thought it would have been a more steamy, calm breeze. Like a Frandor summer afternoon.

If you shop at a soup kitchen, you can cut that food budget in half. That's all I got.

The nice thing about the people they picked to run DOGE, they are all capitalists first, and will rush to the first person to put a $5 in their pocket and they will sing like a bird of what went on.

The 10th amendment is off in the corner, battered and bruised, propped up by the barely functional 1st and 25th amendments.

I'm pretty sure Barbra Walters had at least a weekly segment on 60 minutes letting folks know that rap was murdering children or something.

Karl is the king of adjectives. You always get a clear picture when he describes a personality as similar to a damp washcloth.

They've been setting it up for years. Look at all the briefings "We can't let China win the AI war!"

I hate that the Dems have to go back to the guy who was president last decade to find /somebody/ who can communicate. This stuff should be fish-in-a-barrel stuff people need to hear.

One of the more underrated bands of the late 90's and early 2000's

But space cold, so no heat issues in space. Ugh.

That's no longer important for stocks to go up.
October 31, 2025 at 12:51 AM
Also a way to goose your stock price when everything else is going to shit. Laying people off will always cause a bump, and doing it for AI makes you look innovative at the same time.

Usually when you see headlines like that, when you dig into the quotes a bit more, you find out they are calling him that because he didn't murder enough puppies, not because of allowing all this to happen.

I say you let them borrow the garbage truck that's for sale, since that army truck is gone ;-)

I'm looking forward to the combined networks. Let's call them the DuMont network.

Best person accepting an award?
October 2, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Agreed. But at least companies that went the 3DTV route made some money on the novelty. The FOMO with AI is crazy strong and the folks making money are heavily diluted by those who aren't.
September 30, 2025 at 7:24 PM
If you read the report, it's worse than 95% not making any money on it. 95% are canceling projects because their AI deployments aren't meeting /any/ metrics (customer service, revenue, employee satisfaction, etc). The only 'trend' that I've seen recently that was so despised was 3DTV.
