Remember the exploitive company towns of the Guided Age? Here we go again 🙄
Elon Musk wanted to turn his SpaceX launch site into a city. Voters in Texas just said yes.
A small group of mostly SpaceX employees voted to incorporate the area around the SpaceX rocket testing and launch site near Brownsville as the City of Starbase.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

It was never just about schools, it was never just about libraries, and it isn't actually about the books.

It's about finding a way to banish entire people, entire ideas, out of society, back into the closet or worse.

The House of Representatives just passed a bill that would make it much harder for millions of people to register to vote.

Tell your Senator to reject this harmful legislation.
Stop the SAVE Act
The SAVE Act would keep millions of people from being able to vote – and would shut countless eligible voters out of our democracy. Urge Congress to vote no now.

Watching an Oval Office press conference. Trump threatens China with an additional 50% tariff if they don’t relent by noon tomorrow. He goes on to talk about how great America and the military is. On and on. He talks a lot and says a whole lot of nothing.

Besides the military, govt infrastructure, and cuts for the ultra rich, can someone tell me what else my federal taxes will be paying for?

DO NOT DELAY! Make sure you can vote by sorting out your documents today. Married women especially. This will take time, especially with the cuts to SSA.

@aclu.org Please, we need a bombardment of into about the SAVE Act and clear guidelines on what we need to do to prove citizenship. Especially for married women. Obtaining documents and potentially requesting name changes will take time. We have to start now!

“And when memory failed and written records were falsified—when that happened, the claim of the Party to have improved the conditions of human life had to be accepted, because there did not exist, and never again could exist, any standard against which it could be tested.”

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
