Oof that resonates. My grandma died at 106, for the last 20 years of her life she kept saying "I don't understand why the good lord doesn't just take me." I always felt so bad for her, that must be such a lonely feeling.

I personally see evidence of a lack of a god's existence because the proof is all around me. Wonder leads to learning which results in understanding. Faith is what happens when you skip the learning. Only human arrogance would assume "god did it" when the evidence against that is all around us.
