MRI request was denied.

Hospitalized in September, begged for more imaging and an MRI. Denied.

Eventually diagnosed, then made it to pain management.

Pain mgmt needs an MRI.

I think they are right to order one. I just wish it would’ve happened in July.

I went to the optometrist again last month, and was told that my eyes “not working together” was actually called convergence insufficiency, and that prism glasses could potentially help. I declined the $800 neurolenses and went with just a basic prism.

I pick them up today… we’ll see if this helps

We got a firm mattress because I much prefer that for my joints, and a split king because I often need to sleep elevated but my partner doesn't.

It's definitely an expensive investment but hoping it'll be worth it!

We ordered a big fig split king mattress and a sven and son adjustable base. The big fig was important to us bc we are plus sized and have a big dog who sleeps with us in the bed.

The process of aging would be much more tolerable if our society didn't demonize disability and refuse to make our public spaces accessible. Yeah, it sucks to be disabled when you are isolated and shunned!

Maybe both aging and disability could be joyful parts of life, were our world accessible.

I use it for craniocervical instability which for me worsens a lot when I'm PEM'd

it's usually not public health workers, medical professionals, or sociologists.

it's the people in power.

the rich and powerful deciding who does or doesn't deserve any basic resource will only end in brutality and eugenics. every time.

I don't care if you have an eating disorder, are a drug user, self harm, or drink. you still deserve healthcare, because everyone deserves healthcare, full fucking stop.

when we're talking about who is or isn't "deserving" we must ask ourselves -- who decides those parameters?
