In 2020 Mexico took the step to ban it in all forms, something that countries like the USA still have not done. Currently, the Supreme Court is in the process of siding with radical Christoid theocrats and will likely rule that all states that have banned conversion therapy must re-legalize it.

On this day in 2018 Maryland became the 11th state to make this practice illegal, and now in 2025 a total of 24 states have similar bans in place. The fact it is not 50 highlights just how much work remains before this country can even somewhat convincingly pretend to care about human rights.

In fact, being gay was not legal in have of the country until 2003 and it was not until 2023 that Minnesota officially passed a bill that repealed ban on homosexuality, as the 2001 decriminalization was based in a court ruling from Doe v. Ventura State District Court Judge Delila F. Pierce.
