wandering bard and vagabond prophet reimagining northern European indigenous spirituality into a modern context with song-magic
you're confusing terms: culture (i.e. language, custom, story, art, & song) has existed very well for 100k+ years in many forms; civilization (i.e. city dwelling, god-kings justifying conquest) is at best 10k years old

the problem is our culture has conflated the craft of story w/ the struggle to survive. our ancestors & indigenous cultures today value the gift of story & support the artists in reciprocity. commodification of story inevitably leads to starving artists. #artistcoop

it's an ancient practice to dehumanize & other marginal people. the term 'barbarian' is thought to derive from a racist imitation of non-Greek speakers who sounded to them like 'bar-bar-bar'.
villain was originally the person who staffed a villa (serfdom), but the help are thieves so...🤷🏻

step 1: define terms "moral" "right/wrong""responsibility" "citizen" & "times"
step 2: listen to indigenous wisdom to recast the question
step 3: explore the overlap of indigenous knowledge systems across diverse environments
step 4: seven generations to land back through reciprocity w/nature 🙏🏻

tracing motivation w/in an entirely dysfunctional society is an exercise in futility. when violence is made a state/government monopoly people devolve into partisans arguing for THEIR right to violence & others' illegitimate use of violence. the system is designed for the results it produces.

I hate when people of privilege announce that art, sport or music are non-political. What they really mean is that they don’t want their privilege challenged by uncomfortable truths. They want to enjoy themselves as Rome burns.

I'm loving the finitude of physical media like vinyl for the way its volume demands curation
