Facebook users are making me so mad right now. This caveat is pretty easily readable as a marketing joke but has been misread so much. With comments: "ugh why would they feel the need to put that on there" or "ugh other people are so dumb they have to put that on there" - ITS A JOKE! ARGH

Quite a big fan of these 'Tales of the Weird anthologies'; exploring #Gothic fiction by theme is a very different way of approaching the genre.

Watching James and the Giant Peach 🍑 an excellent childhood rewatch. Miss Spider is a goth queen and I want to be her. #unrealisticbodystandards
Side note: I never appreciated the Earthworm's pessimism jokes until adulthood. Now he's my favourite.

George Eliot & Middlemarch came up 3 times today on 3 separate occasions. Once on my pals Insta story, again on a historic tour in my hometown, and then again when another friend booked us to go for a meal without me knowing, at Middlemarch Farm (named for the book)

George Eliot & Middlemarch came up 3 times today on 3 separate occasions. Once on my pals Insta story, again on a historic tour in my hometown, and then again when another friend booked us to go for a meal without me knowing, at Middlemarch Farm (named for the book)

Spending my Saturday watching a marathon of Gothic lectures with #RomancingtheGothic from the comfort of my bed.
I took this picture a few days ago, visiting a #NationalTrust site (UK), the way the vacant chair looked against the green colour was so striking. It really took me back to a time when the house might have been inhabited.
