6. THE REANIMATOR'S FATE by Kara Jorgensen - 4👑

The 4th and last book in The Reanimator Mysteries (there will be a companion novella!), and I'm not ready to let Felipe and Oliver go. I really enjoyed this one, but maybe I had too high expectations. Also, the ending felt too rushed for me.

I continued my audiobook reread of The Reanimator Mysteries in anticipation of the release of book 4 in January. The Reanimator's Remains is the 3rd book.

4. STOLEN MOMENTS by A. B. Jackson - 4👑

The first book in a spicy M/M contemporary romance trilogy. Liked the characters (the MCs, anyway) and the humor. Not a fan of the cliffhanger at the end. Still.

3. THE UNDERCUTTING OF ROSIE AND ADAM by Megan Bannen - 5👑

This is the third (and final? I think?) book in the Hart and Mercy series, and it's such a fun one! I loved the characters, the world, and the humor. Took me a while to get on the bandwagon, but I got there in the end.

2. THE FALLEN OF FOULWEATHER BLUFF by D.D. Black - 4👑

This is the third book into D.D. Black's Thomas Austin series. I'm slowly going through the audiobooks of this one and I'm having a good time. Austin and the team, this time, investigate a cold case of three murdered Navy soldiers.

1. A CAPTURED CAULDRON by R.K. Ashwick - 3.5👑

I've been meaning to get to this book sooner, but alas... It's the sequel to SPFBO 10 finalist, A Rival Most Vial, which I loved. It was great to be back with the team, but I just wasn't as into it this time around. Still, worth checking out!

Not a bad haul this year presents-wise. I got myself some good stuff and my mom managed to surprise me by buying me a pair of PURPLE panda hand warmers I once showed her and decided not to buy. Anyway. It's super cute. Goes well with my new purple winter coat. And the purple lights on my tree 😁💜

I spent pretty much all my free time in October working on some gift packages I delivered at FantasyCon. I thought I wouldn't want to do any of it anytime soon, but apparently I can't sit idly, and I also got jealous of the super cute bookmark so I'm making one for myself 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm home safe and sound. Traveling went quite smoothly, so pleased with that. World FantasyCon was a bit of a mixed bag for me overall, but it was nice catching up with old friends, make new acquaintances, talk about my WIP publicly a bit, and see a bit of Brighton. Also books! And gifts!

I duck back and a few seconds later Mikes follows, giving me a bone shattering hug. “Good to see you, kid! Glad to see you still know the way here.” I hug him back, feeling the tension leaving my body. “Sorry I’ve been neglecting you lately.” I mumble into his shoulder. I had no idea how much I needed his comfort, so I hold on to it a bit longer. He doesn't seem to mind. He kisses my temple before releasing me.
