I’ve never read the book. Seen the movie a few times over the years and as an adult I got the anti-fascist critique I missed as a kid. What does the book do differently if I might ask? Besides being a book, which I can respect is often better because of the difference in medium.

I tried the dongle once. It stopped working properly (tons of static) after only a couple uses. Huge waste of money. I don’t understand why they got rid of the normal jack.
