That tradeoff is gone. The next generation of Federal workers have no guarantee of stability. It is going to get much, much more expensive to hire Federal workers. The DOGE boys are getting GS15 pay, and they are barely competent. Expect the cost of government to explode in the next 10 years.

i watched a few snippets of the Finkelstein/Destiny debate, and my main takeaway is that debatenerds like Destiny or Ben Shapiro are mostly good at coming up with gotcha questions where the correct answer is very complex and therefore looks a bit evasive
