63. Revenge of the Sith (novelisation)

A shame that I never read it before!
It's a stroke of absolute genius to frame this story like a Greek tragedy.
Unfortunately better than the movie lmao.
Makes you appreciate both Obi-Wan and Anakin a lot more and in very different ways.

62. The Bound Worlds

This book went in wild directions that I could never have predicted. Some of it I liked, some of them I didn't.
The Big Freeze was cool, but very illogically caused imo
I really enjoyed the ending and overall I liked this series.
Not as much as I expected after the 1st book tho

61. The Fractured Dark

A good follow-up to the first book. I really liked both Tarquin and Naira's development was very nice.
Fletcher was a very strange character that I found a little confusing. Terrifying antagonist tho.
Ending was nice

46. At the Mountains of Madness

Read a story inspired by this a few years ago!
It was really cool, written like a report from one of the researchers that returned from the first expedition alive

45. The Blighted Stars

Really, really enjoyed this book.
The dynamic between the main characters was very nice and developed in interesting ways.
Love the setup for the next books!

43. Warbreaker

I really loved the colour-based magic system!
Very intriguing characters too. My favourites were Vivenna, Denth and Vasher.
The reveals about the world were chilling, but the book ended very abruptly.
Maybe a sequel will come at some point...

42. Onyx Storm

Liked it, but after the ending, I thought this also could have happened after the 2nd book.

39. Iron Flame

Gods, the first 300+ pages of this book are a slog.
Repeating the same senseless fight over and over until the plot is ready to go for the second half.
I did like the rest though. The revolution stuff was very fun. Final battle was a nice spectacle too.
Romance also improved haha

37. Fourth Wing

Interested bc of the hype and it's dragons :]
I like the main couple and their relationship in the second half.
But there's a lot of tropes and not all of them are well-executed.
Definitely dislike how the fake love interest is written.
Also some plot holes
Overall enjoyed it though

34. The Toll

Definitely my favourite in the series, despite a rough start.
I really enjoyed the Greyson & Thunderhead story line.
Jerico was also a new favourite.
I really enjoyed the ending when Citra and Rowan were finally properly reunited.
Still didn't care for the villain much xD

33. Thunderhead

Very spectacular ending!
The world continues to fascinate, but I don't care much for the villain, I have to say.
I enjoyed Scythe Curie a lot and, of course, also my boy Greyson.

32. Scythe

Very intriguing world!
I enjoyed Scythe Faraday a lot and got very invested in Citra and Rowan.
The Thunderhead is the most intriguing part bc the expectation is that it will at some point turn evil.

31. All Quiet on the Western Front

The Hollywood adapting the book from 1930.
I think it's extremely well-made.
I loved how they portrayed Kat.
The scene in the school at the beginning and everything with Himmelstoss was great as well.

30. Im Westen Nichts Neues

Was tough to read in places, but I'm very glad I did it.
The additional material about how the book and the movie were controversial in the Weimarer Republik were very insightful.
The part that made the strongest impression on my was when Paul got back on vacation...

23. Aurora's End

The ending of the plot was very weak, but I still enjoyed all the characters a lot.
The way to the end was nicely done too.
The tropes were well used, especially in an emotional way.

22. Aurora Burning

Good continuation of the first book.
I really like all of the characters, but there were some terrible writing decisions near the end.
Everything is a little shallow unfortunately, but still pretty engaging.

19. White Nights by F. Dostoevsky

Strongly affected me tbh. I suppose I was fooled by the subtitle "a love story" in German 😅.
I think the story is much about loneliness and desperation than love.
Could identify with the narrator more than I feel comfortable with...
It's a great book for sure!

16. Aurora Rising

Some friends wanted to read a book together and we chose this one.
I liked it a lot!
Beginning was pretty generic, but in the second half it executed and subverted some tropes I enjoy very well.
Auroa and Kal are 👌

13. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

Read it because I love Treasure Planet.
It's one of those pieces of media that clearly invented so much. Much of it felt to me like it used overused tropes when it clearly used some of them for the first time.

10. Elantris

Next Cosmere book!
First Cosmere novel published and it's a good one.
I loved the world building and the conflict building until the end. Refreshing to deal with all these situations without much violence.
Sarene and Raoden aere amazing deuteragonists.

5. Frankenstein

This book reads so much easier than I anticipated!
I was captivated by Viktor Frankenstein's story and felt for his "monster".
Curiously the "IT LIVES" scene never happens xD
A wonderful story about what it means to be human :]

2. Fahrenheit 451

DIdn't read this in school, but it interested me enough to start my foray into more classic books.
Loved the Clarisse character!
The depiction of the world is haunting and in ways more prophetic than we likely want to admit.
My man predicted TikTok and wireless headphones :D
