Obsessed with the artwork on the new red rising edition. Thinking I'll reread at least the first 3 before the final book comes out. Been too long, incredible series.

Bought this book used, looks like it was signed "To June" by author. Cheers June!

These books are so good, definitely reading all of them.

These books continue to be really great, can't remember a single series I've enjoyed reading more

Really great novel, maybe the best Roma Sub Rosa so far despite departing from the usual single mystery formula. One of the best books I've ever read to show regular people getting pushed and pulled by the eddies great historical events.

I honestly feel embarrassed for working so hard to earn my degree from OU when I could've just scribbled "I Love Jesus" in crayon on every test and assignment and gotten full marks.

Why is my new cat heating pad covered in little swastikas?

Pretty great book, like a combination of shutter island and welcome to night vale. Could maybe benefit from a pro editor, but there's also something authentic and raw about the writing that works well with the story

Unfortunately, essentially nothing about this book works at all. The inconsistent characters with their vague motivations are unlikable. Combat is a huge weakness for this author. The vacuous world building really stands out when traveling. I just wanted to stop reading this more with each chapter.

Such a great book, clearly the Douglas Adams of our generation

These books are long af, I forgot how long they take to read. Might take a break from this series in favor of some shorter books

I've been using this jug to hold my apple cider every fall since I got it at a Renaissance Faire back in like 2017. Looks like the sticker has just about had it. RIP Wizard's Brew Sticker 2017-25

Should I be reading one of the 30 odd new books on my bookshelf that I haven't read? Yes. Will I instead continue to reread ASOIAF for the third time instead? Also yes.

Holds up so well on reread, absolutely love this series. Still hoping we'll get winds of winter one of these days 🙏

Really excellent book. A unique mix of sci fi, cultural anthropology, and folklore

This was undoubtedly the worst Roma Sub Rosa book. Read like an adventure book, featuring the dumbest protagonist I've ever read who only survived every other chapter thanks to his diamond plated plot armor. Also the setting is not very convincing at all, very unlike the other novels

New Witcher book out! I'm reading tf out of this

A good litmus test for accurate roman history is whether or not the author knows that the marble statues would've all been painted in ancient times. Needless to say, Saylor's statues are colorful af

Another one I hadn't read since high school. Fascinating book, the like culture shock approach to dystopian fiction feels very unique.

Peabody just moved into our tree, he eats a ton of our nuts, gonna be very plump for winter

Hadn't read this book since high school, definitely still holds up

Big fan of the art on this one, very good edition all around. I also appreciate the extensive AI hate, I also have no respect for "AI poets", basically a paradox

Meh/10, the "mysteries" in this one were all very obvious. But I still enjoyed the characters and setting
