Even with thermal power sources EVs are still more efficient. And most grids are rapidly moving away from thermal. And of course there are energy losses getting fossil fuels from well to tank, around 25% of the energy stored in the tank.

The 1930s pacifists have some share of the blame for the general failure of western countries to stop the nazis. I'm unconvinced that makes them pro-hitler.

So is it still Green Party policy to fund this be abolishing the upper earnings limit on National Insurance? If so, how does that tally with Polanski's "tax wealth not work" slogan?

Disagree. Scotland is a country, but so is Britain. If you can define yourself as Scottish, I can define myself as British.

Scotland doesn't even pay the highest electricity charges in the UK.
But yes, how dare the UK... er.... invest in Scottish industry and ... er... pay the market rate for what it produces.

Devolved decisions, funded largely by the WM block grant. An independent Scotland would have to massively increase taxes to maintain that level of spending.
