de Minaur through to the Semi Finals of the 2025 ATP Tour Finals as he won 1 more game over 3 matches than Fritz. Insane! Musetti, Fritz and de Minaur all end with 1 win, the Australian makes it through by the skin of his teeth!

If you have not watched/listened to the Andy Murray x @romeshranganathan.bsky.social podcast on The Romesh Ranganathan Show you definitely should check it out! Great chemistry and insight and very entertaining, especially for fans of juicy fruits 😅

After the incredible Shanghai Masters win by Vacherot we are now back to usual programming as Jannik Sinner beats FAA in a tight 2 set final to win the 2025 Paris Masters. Clinical!
November 2, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Alcaraz has come out and said the new Paris Masters venue is much slower than last year in respect to court speed. This does not help the narrative (wrongly or rightly) that the ATP are slowing down the courts to favour certain players...

If you thought we were getting a Djokovic vs Medvedev final in Shanghai you thought wrong. Strap yourselves in for the battle of the cousins: Rinderknech vs Vacherot👌🏽

11 - Amanda Anisimova has claimed her first comeback win against a WTA top 20 opponent since defeating Karolina Pliskova in San Jose (R16) in 2022 – Anisimova had lost her ensuing 11 such matches. Regroup.

Carlos Alcaraz pulling out of Shanghai is a big blow for the tournament; however it is offset by the positive news that Djokovic will be playing it! Whoever is not in Sinner's half will feel like their chances have boosted significantly.

The Laver Cup concept and format is appealing; I just hope they start hosting it in countries that do not see major tournaments regularly. South America, Sub Continent, Africa etc. From memory this was a big selling point originally and would help with the growth of the sport.

Ridiculously good 1st set from Carlos Alcaraz. 11 winners and 2 unforced errors. Sinner looks a bit lost currently. Interesting to see if Carlos can sustain this level and what Jannik does to try to adjust.

Sabalenka is now 21-1 in tie breakers this year. Unreal!
September 6, 2025 at 9:59 PM
A very entertaining women's final, just missed another set to be a blockbuster! Sabalenka makes it 3rd time lucky this year and gets her grand slam in 2025. Anisimova with a great effort, another great fortnight for her. Only a matter of time until she grabs one with this level.

This semi final between Alcaraz and Djokovic is going very similarly to their Australian Open 2025 match. Will Djokovic come from a set (6-4 down) and go on to win in 4?👀

What a year Anisimova is having, kudos to her and her team. We have a blockbuster final on our hands with her vs Sabalenka. Osaka fought hard but not to be, if she continues this form she will be a major contender for the AO. Pegula has positives to take given her form recently.

7 weeks ago Anisimova lost the Wimbledon final 6-0 6-0 to Swiatek. Today she beat her 6-4 6-3 at the US Open Quarter Finals. What a performance, physically and mentally. Incredible turn around and it takes real strength of character to pull off something like this!

I wouldn't worry too much if you are a Coco Gauff fan, she will sort out her serve with the biomechanics expert. The person she is working with helped Sabalenka with her double fault issues in the past. Still so young, huge gains incoming I feel.

Muchova cannot catch a break with injuries!
September 1, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Gauff said to her box "nothing is working" just before she lost to Osaka - she was not playing well and she felt it. Osaka by contrast playing very well. When Osaka has made a QF of a slam she has gone on to win it!

Naomi Osaka looks so happy on court at the moment- great sign and its translating well into her game currently!
September 1, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Swiatek's backhand is on fire at the moment, running through Alexandrova currently. Playing very very well.

Osaka just bagelled Kasatkina in the 1st set 🤯

Novak Djokovic's draw has opened up massively at the US Open. A minimum semi final result is looking very likely.
August 30, 2025 at 9:29 AM
Rybakina just dominated Raducanu. 6-1 6-2, I thought it would be close but there was a sizeable difference on serve and from the baseline today. You can see improvements from Emma but it will take time, struggled to get the ball out of Rybakina's hitting zone.

Holger Rune needs some deep reflection I would imagine after this season. Hugely talented but seems to be confused on court on the style of tennis he should be playing; also seems to potentially have a best of 5 conditioning issue. Poor slam results by his standards.
