Regarding Venezuela: I remember 30 something years ago, the U.S. invaded Panama which led to the surrender and seizure of its leader, Manuel Noriega. Yes, it established a democracy, but it also rocketed the country into economic devastation, deep recession, and defaulted debt.

Anytime I see a documentary/docudrama where a White person was hooked on Crack cocaine in the 80s and fully recovered, it's a reminder that policing and judicial system acted completely different for people of color.

For the movie, "A Scanner Darkly", the film was shot digitally and then animated using interpolated rotoscope, an animation technique in which animators trace over the original footage frame by frame. In 2006, it took 15 months to animate.
Pretty sure you could do it over a weekend with AI now.
