its a singleplayer fps, not a multiplayer shooter, you have to get to the end of the level eventually, and if you spend your time shooting out every wall you're going to alert every enemy and run out of ammo fast

it's a feature and not a bug imo- it's gonna make players have to pay attention to their surroundings and move from place to place instead of sticking around in one spot.
