94 shot attempts against ties a franchise record for the Canucks. Has happened three times before.

Canes had 101 shot attempts against the New York Islanders in November 2023.

Brock Boeser scoring the game-winning goal on Hockey Fights Cancer night gets a big old hell yeah from me

Aatu Räty went down very awkwardly into the boards. After a brief conversation at the bench with the trainer, he walked down the tunnel, using his stick to help support him.

This is why we call Kiefer Sherwood The Great One
For reference

In 1981-82, Wayne Gretzky scored 92 of the Oilers' 417 goals, or 22 per cent.

Kiefer Sherwood has 9 of the Canucks' 32 goals.

That's 28 per cent

Brock Boeser won’t return to tonight’s game. #Canucks now missing seven forwards.

Quick math on a Garland 6x6 extension:

Currently, his $4.95 million takes up 5.21% of the cap.

When the extension kicks in (2026-27 season), a $6 million AAV takes up 5.76% of total cap.

By year two of the extension ($113.5million upper limit), Garland takes up 5.28%.

I’m told the plan for recently-signed #Canucks goaltending prospect Aku Koskenvuo is to be around the red-hot Abby Canucks all next week before heading back to Harvard at the end of next weekend to finish up his classes. Comes into town on Friday.

With all due respect to Kevin Lankinen, this game is probably 3-1 Canucks if Thatcher Demko is in net.

Legitimately so impressed with Elias Pettersson, the defenceman. Genuinely surprised his first NHL stint has gone as well as it has. Thought he was a bit more raw than what he's shown so far.

Just as I thought to myself that Dakota Joshua has some great jump early in this one, he inadvertently blocks a Filip Hronek slap shot with his skate. Glad to see he's okay. Liking his game so far in this one.
