Too true. But also it's just setting the stage for normalizing aggressive expansionism, right? It might be years before the USA "gets" Greenland or makes real moves on any of this stuff. Though of course I hope they never do.

No, from the context of the speaker they were talking about lunch and sometimes dinner for just the judges. Granted, that may have included some staff as well, but not juries. This was a person directly involved in the ordering and delivery process so they would know the $1m figure for sure.

They are a center-right party overall. The Overton window has been a'shufflin along. Dems and Reps don't want to fight with each other, they're fighting together for their own/corp interests and not for the people. You probably know this already, it's just good to say out loud for my own sanity.
