The case follows an extensive police investigation and is prosecuted by the CPS Thames & Chiltern RASSO Unit. The trial is expected to last six weeks. The complainants’ anonymity is protected by law and Alan Harris denies all the allegations.

The jury heard that the fatal stabbing occurred during a brief confrontation in the crowded park at a New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
