I don’t ever think I’ve looked upon a new year with such despair about our world. But I will continue to hope (and work) for better times. These things sustain me: Love God, love my neighbor. Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly.

Today I did my last Banned Books Weeks lessons of the semester. Yes, I know that Banned Books Week was almost 2 months ago, but scheduling didn't work out. I used the graphics provide by ALA over the past 7 years and we had such great discussion! Love this lesson, every time.

Simon Sort of Says remains my favorite middle school book this year. I highly recommend it! 📚👍
