On Saturdays, I also watched the Red Green Show. So, Steve Smith (Red Green), Patrick McKenna (Harold Green), Edgar Montrose (Graham Greene), and Bill Smith, famous for “Adventures with Bill” (Rick Green). Phew, a green theme here! Loved to watch both Red Green and Red Dwarf.

The Grifter in Chief is having hurt feelings over Ronald Reagan’s actual words. They will throw every obfuscation they can against Canada’s ad with Reagan. It especially points out that it is merely for short-term gain, and everyone else can suffer in the long run. Truth hurts, eh, Trumpy?

It’s October and time to get in the Halloween spirit. This time, it’s the original Addams Family. In the Melancholia comes to visit episode, I discover the inspiration for Princess Leia’s hair do for the first Star Wars movie. . . Maybe.

Keeping to myself lately and concentrating on my own writing, I look things up from time to time. With predictive search, I presume the search engine uses what a lot of other people search for. If that’s true, we are truly immersed in an idiocracy! It’s a tragic comedy! (or a comical tragedy?)

This is my favorite scene from my walking route - the chalk art wall that had a beautiful butterfly where I started the uphill part of my walk. Wonderful artistic talent usually gets displayed there. Extra goodness: the chalk obscures where someone wrote, “We (heart) Trump” in red spray paint!

At one of my favorite places to take walks, I saw that someone had started to construct a wood henge. I don’t know if they took the time to align it according to the solstices, but it’s all a part of fun with driftwood!

As a retirement gift from work, I received a fake front page, framed and ready for hanging. I decided to make it even better (in a graphic) by adding a bit of support from a celebrity. What can I say but . . . Giggity!

I made this poster to hang in plain sight where I could see it every day. It is a reminder that, even in these precarious and uncertain times, fear is truly the mind-killer. Those who seek to dominate us, want us to live in fear and indecision, therefore keeping them in power. Pass it on! ✊

In a week of celebrities passing away, I find out that David Johansen died. I believe he was the last surviving member of The New York Dolls. Why did I, briefly, subtract my age from his and think maybe I had 2 years left to go? Long live David Johansen, and that goes for Buster Poindexter as well!🤘

Love these shots. They have a calming effect, so well needed these days.

I spotted a toaster in an Amazon ad the other day. Could this Smeg toaster be the beginning of a long evolution that ends with the AI infused Talkie Toaster? I’m sure that Red Dwarf fans will agree with me.

Another thing I never thought I would say: After hearing of a cryovolcano discovered on Ceres (a dwarf planet in the asteroid belt), I exclaimed, “Hey, we have those on Pluto!”

(Until fairly recently, pictures of Pluto looked like featureless blobs.)

The recent poll seen in the online version of The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. There are a small number of responses, but it shows that 3/4 of us are not prepared for an emergency. From personal experience, the West Coast seems a bit more aware than those in mid-continent. We need to work on that.

Thinking back to how things were in the 1960s and 70s, I never thought – back then – we would ever say the phrase, “If you’re going out, be sure to take your phone.” (unless you were moving)

Got in an experimental mood and put this together on the side. It's a fav quote from one of my fav guitarists.

I think I have a “Rick Roll Curse.” Every once in a while, whether a cover or an original, this song will pop up. It must be the YouTube algorithm because I watch some videos. The worst part? The song gets stuck in my head for a couple of hours. It’s not disgusting, though. It’s merely amusing!
