If there hadn't been so many attacks on trans people existing, I probably would have had more time and energy to write academic articles and advocate around this issue that is squarely within my wheelhouse. Just a thought!

Not only has this made me once again optimistic about writing, but it puts my past into a new perpspective.
Sure, I was stuck in a cycle of choosing my world over myself. But that’s because the cycle was a washing machine. The journey was so varied and turbulent I never knew which way was up!
