yeah, I'm not sure I would count root and everdell as mass market. Wingspan I probably would because people who I wouldn't have expected to pick up a hobby board game have actually heard about it (and catan) so maybe it's a distribution thing more than anything else? idk, still working on this...

This makes sense to me because I feel like the target demographic should be a more important factor than just sale numbers. Because something can be designed as mass market but not sell near the same number of product as some hobby games.
