And what is to keep ICE or police from seizing the papers and destroying or "losing" them before you get to the detention center? Do we have to make sure we have multiple certified copies at home and in a safe deposit box that can be easily retrieved?

They're refusing to look at documents/IDs, instead requiring agents to use their face scanning software.
