I'm in Bellingham's Kulshan Chorus. We're working hard to prepare for our one-time spring performance and we hope you'll attend! The concert themes are connection and joy. This is *not* a religious concert, but it will be inspiring and moving! Sat, May 3, 7pm. pathtokindness.brownpapertickets.com

I'm going to learn this game but Holy Moly it's complicated! And of course the instructions could use a good technical edit. 😜

My van and I were "extras" in a Paramount horror movie that's filming in WA. André Øvredal is directing. (Troll Hunter is one of my favorites!) I stood within 6 feet of him but was too shy to distract him by shouting "TROLL!". The fake Colo plate was cool, since I've actually lived there!

I'm learning American Mah Jongg, and it seems like everyone else is too! Whenever I mention it, someone sends me their favorite website or Youtube playlist. :-) I'm practicing assembling hands, and doing the exercises on ilovemahj.com.

I was hesitant to ski at Mount Baker because I had the mistaken impression that their runs are harder than most (compared to my fav Colorado places) and that they don't groom. But they DO groom and there ARE easy runs. Perfect day!

Watched the docu-movie "The Incredible Life of Ibelin", about a young man with Duchenne MD and the real-world influence he had via his "virtual" life in WoW. So beautifully done. Then I bought the Reven Pack, a fundraiser for research, Blizzard is donating all profits. www.imdb.com/title/tt1981...

Last week I went to the Blue Room for the first time, to see the local marimba band Ukama, and Zimbabwean music by Blessing Bled Chimanga. I went alone but felt totally comfortable and safe. It was a great show!

Waiting to enter the WWU performing arts center for a performance of the Kulshan Chorus, I'm reminded of how lovely it is to live in Bellingham.

In case you haven't heard, Dragon River is open for dine in again! We visited twice in the past week. Spectacular (vegetarian) options, even better in person. The salt & pepper tofu was an amazing surprise, and servers were friendly!

My new Vitamix can make a lovely smoothie of kale, soy milk, and blueberries. It can't make it fun to consume, but it's better than chew-drinking little kale bits from my previous Ninja blender. (PSA: the latest research says not to mix blueberries and bananas. Eat both, just not at the same time.)

Thinking about the future lovely weather on Gabraith Mountain.

Bills for the 2025 session just dropped in several states, and y'all, it's bad. I'll be reporting on all of them soon but:
- Adult bathroom bans
- Drag bans with bounty provisions
- Removal of gender identity from nondiscrimination protections
and more.
