The main question is why we don't see immune activation in ME/CFS. It's triggered by an infection and has many similarities to symptoms seen in autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases.

But there is little indication of (even low-grade) inflammation.

Without a diagnostic test, long COVID is a diagnosis of exclusion.

Nonetheless the study showed that dyspnoea, brain fog and post exertional malaise were more reliable predictors of long COVID, but 'fatigue' was less reliable.

Long COVID is much more than just being tired all the time.

A number of the patients had long COVID as a differential diagnosis only - so not actually confirmed. It's not surprising that a number then went on to be diagnosed with one of the other suspected conditions rather than COVID.

This is on top of the 100 free day passes for Oxford residents / 25 passes for Oxfordshire residents.

There are numerous other exceptions.

With the Botley Road closed, there is a small area in the city centre where the only access is through the filter points.

Until Botley Rd reopens, residents and people who work in this area will be exempt from these specific filters.

This is very disappointing. Kumar and Clark was a hugely influential textbook for medical students, but they have got ME/CFS very wrong here.

There would also be benefits that are less quantifiable in terms of reduced congestion and pollution. Plus increased mobility for kids, especially those where money is tight.

I agree that it would still be a stretch to fund free travel for all kids from ANPR fines, especially once the temporary congestion charging changes to the proper traffic filters, but the labour text calls for free *or reduced* fares.

The population of West Oxford and North Somerset is about 60% bigger than Oxford, so the costs wouldn't be as much here.

Also, some of the costs in the BBC article will be once-off set-up costs.

Emma Garnett is the new county councillor for Parks!

And I see another green candidate has just topped the poll on Shrivenham.

That makes 7 green councillors (4 new!). The only issue is that the Lib Dems look like they'll gain enough seats from the Tories to control the council on their own.

It's probably more than this - telraams can't count bikes at night.
