Is it still the ship of Theseus if he’s more machine now than man? Avid slow-cyclist. Sometimes I sew things.
This reminds me of one of my favorite EPA program names “LUST Prevention” www.epa.gov/ust/leaking-...
Leaking Underground Storage Tank Trust Fund | US EPA
In 1986, Congress created the Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Trust Fund to address releases from federally regulated underground storage tanks (USTs) by amending Subtitle I of the Solid Waste...

“older man unexpectedly bonds unrepentant chaos familiar late in life” I would read the hell out of that fae comedy adventure team-up.

There was a year where I woke up to the same chill acoustic album for my daily alarm. And in my running era I played the same techno album for every run. Tracks 1 and 2 got plenty of play for both.

Yess to all of this! Songs played by vibe. Sometimes this sends you to odd places like old Irish folk song followed by WAP followed by Mozart piano concertos. I don’t make the rules.

See also the time my adhd wrapped was just the first three songs of an “ADHD focus” playlist. 😂

Adhd vibes is one song/album hyper fixation until replaced. Replacement may happen in the same day/week/year. Sometimes you obsessively listen to Song-of-Interest for 3 months then you switch and listen to no songs for the rest of the year.

Where’s “Murder She Wrote” when actors need them to maintain benefits! But also you have an excellent voice and producers should be so lucky.

Hurts so good! 🤣

Yeah, sorry to derail w my own navel gazing. I have noticed something similar in other things and it’s not bad just feels to me like one thread out of weft in a weave if that makes sense.

The cognitive dissonance of a show that goes so hard getting so many details right for that time and skips a whole subset of a topic is jarring. It feels weird because it’s applying a Pollyanna effect to one aspect of history while remaining gritty with others. Drugs, sex, and rock and roll.

Came here to say exactly this!

Maybe petite bourgeoisie is to bourgeoisie as petite mort (little death) is to death…way better in every possible way.

Yesss! Save my poor little hands from this torment

Hahaha husband hoarding. Hahaha. You should support lawyers and the marriage industry by getting divorced and married again at least once every three years.

Same! Truly every sentence had me seeing red.

Fond memories of riding a private bus when the public buses went on strike during my semester abroad in India.

Also main character has adhd and I feel so seen. Best love line of the book, “fidget and pay attention.” As antidote against horrid family’s fav saying, “stop fidgeting and pay attention!” *chef’s kiss
