so I just kept repeating “no like… like half of THAT cup” 😭 I constantly do this in writing too in what I call the “this technically describes what I’m trying to say but no human uses words like this” effect.

And I said “give her a little less than half a cup” meaning half of the scoop we use (which is a half cup measure) and when my roommate asked me to clarify, I could not think to correct myself to “a quarter of a cup” or “half that scoop” or something like that
