🧵 (1) Perce Blackborow was 18 years old when he and his BFF, William Bakewell were hanging out in Buenos Aires, looking for ship work. When Ernest Shackletons ship "Endurance" sailed in to Harbour, both men applied to work on the ship, but only Bakewell was accepted.
