If You Have Ever Had A Rape Fantasy, Here’s What It Means

"I don't believe that women in general, or sexual assault victims specifically, are retraumatizing themselves by revisiting these experiences and fantasies"

We can now reread the entire post knowing what each part of it means, what it's conveying and implying, and what you're really agreeing with if you thought it was making good points.
November 15, 2024 at 8:55 PM
And the conclusion: the good old "no one is oppressing you" along with declaring that kinksters (ALL kinksters, they're not even bothering to hide it anymore) are "objectively horrible wretched human beings".
November 15, 2024 at 8:42 PM
It's objectively bullshit. Research on people who are into BDSM has found no indication that there is any sign of pathology linked to being into these BDSM practices, and that to believe these people are sick or abnormal is just baseless prejudice.

Next, they imply that being into BDSM (and they used more than one examples of BDSM practices: petplay, edgeplay, impact play / S&M, CGL) is unhealthy and that being into it makes your mind sick, because "healthy minded individuals" would never do such things.

This is bullshit.
November 15, 2024 at 8:36 PM
(Once again, funnily enough Wikipedia gives us a photo of a M sub and a F dom as an example.

Oh poor women into BDSM, clearly having no agency at all! We must save them from themselves!! /s)
November 15, 2024 at 8:32 PM
People do risky stuff for no other reason but their own pleasure/entertainment all the time, including extreme sports. It's their own choice. The freedom of taking risks is also part of every individual's autonomy.

Barebacking is also considered edgeplay, btw. JSYK.
November 15, 2024 at 8:30 PM
They also imply that choking kink is inherently abusive, which... it isn't. Just risky and considered edgeplay for this reason.

(Funnily enough, Wikipedia uses a photo of a M sub with his mistress as a visual example for edgeplay.

CW: Blood.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgeplay

Next. "Announcing" is an odd word choice - no kinksters are calling attention to them as they walk on stage to announce to the audience all the ways they fuck their partner outside of kink spaces.

That's a made up fantasy, just like "kinksters whipping out their dicks in front of children at Pride"
November 15, 2024 at 8:26 PM
But let's move on.
Ah, the classic example of the very few people out there who have done bdsm stuff in a regular public space, as if they represent the vast majority of the community.

This like when they use one trans woman jacking off in the women's bathroom as "proof" of trans "degeneracy".
November 15, 2024 at 8:22 PM
Here's Sylvia Rivera on how the gay people who didn't like trans people & drag queens and loved respectability politics called themselves the "normal homosexuals"... as opposed to the "freaks" they wanted nothing to do with, the trans ppl and sex workers and kinkster queers.
November 15, 2024 at 8:20 PM
Radfems hate the word queer with every fiber of their being. It makes their blood boil because it's an inclusive term, and inclusivity is the last thing they want. They're separatists: they want to exclude, not include.
So they hate it and make fun of it.

Hoo boy. A lot to unpack here.
Not sure who is acting like BDSM is "subversive", it's just a kink practice, Karen.
We then have "~kweer~", a term radfems appropriated from asian queer people and turned into a derogatory term to make fun of people who identify with the term queer.
November 15, 2024 at 8:12 PM
OP then goes on to imply that a "heterosexual dynamic" must be inherently a certain way (dominant man, submissive woman) and that BDSM D/s must be taking that dynamic and making it "extreme & violent".

This is already a lot and already shows what the OP (who is a TERF) believes...
November 15, 2024 at 8:10 PM
Next, the tumblr post. Let's break it down step by step.

'Male "dom" & female "sub" couples make me so sick.'

This is a subjective statement from the OP that casts judgement on every single M/F Dom/sub couple ever, implying they're all bad by default.
November 15, 2024 at 8:09 PM
On twitter, someone left a comment on my thread on "kink critical" radfem rhetoric that I would like to use as a chance to break down why it's so easy to take radfems' bait and thus fall for their rhetoric.
Let's examine the post this person said "had a point" and break down why it doesn't.
November 15, 2024 at 8:07 PM
They also claim that the legalization of sex work will make rape and violence against women worse, that is will "normalize" rape and violence against women, yet all evidence shows that... it does the exact opposite.
Making that claim objectively wrong.

PSA: "kink critical" is radfem rhetoric.

You don't have to believe me, some rando on the internet: check the "kink critical" tag on tumblr and see for yourself

The Shinigami Eyes extension shows in red the usernames of known TERFs (I've checked, they ARE TERFs)
Now check these screenshots. #thread

Still from "The Effects of Pornography: an international perspective", linked above

Sex offenders tend to be raised in highly moralistic environments, have conservative views of sexuality, are often highly religious, and tend to have viewed LESS porn than average.

The Effects of Pornography: an international perspective hawaii.edu/PCSS/biblio/...

Contains proof that the idea that porn (including violent porn) causes rape is a myth. if anything "there is an inverse causal relationship between an increase in pornography and sex crimes."

Not a primary source, but here's a post that sums up very well a lot of the concepts mentioned in the research and articles in this thread on why it's so common for many women and marginalized people of all genders have taboo fantasies.
