As with many cool animals they are at risk of habitat loss due to human exposure. While vultures may look scary or gross to some it’s important to remember that even the weirdest animal have their place and role on this planet of ours. #Vulture #Raptor

They tend to hang out 6,500 ft. above sea level hanging out in high mountain ranges. These are some big ole birds weighing 10-15 lbs. standing 3-4 ft. and with a wing span of 7-9 ft. They are carnivores who oddly enough mostly feed on bones just like other vultures they are scavenging animals.

They’re omnivores and tend to be arboreal though they have been seen quite a bit hanging out on the ground. When moving around they let out small growls and hisses. When they feel comfortable they tend to shake and groom themselves.
