For our final shark of Shark Week we are looking at the Oceanic Whitetip.
These sharks are unfortunately Critically Threatened due to fisheries and bycatch. They have fins which are longer than most other sharks and have a characteristic white tip at the end of their fins.

Today’s shark is the Blacktip Reef Shark. If you’ve been to an aquarium with sharks chances are you’ve seen these smaller sharks, as their name suggests they have unique black and white at the end of their fins. #Sharks #SharkWeek #BlackTipReefShark

Thursdays shark is the Great Hammerhead. When I was younger I found it hard to believe these awesome sharks existed, I still think they are absolutely insane and probably some of the most distinct sharks around. #Shark #SharkWeek #Hammerhead

Today’s shark is arguably the most widely known shark in the world. The Great White. The largest of the mackerel sharks (remember the mako) and is the last surviving member of the genus charcharodon.

Today’s shark is the Bull Shark. These sharks are found all over the world in temperate warm waters they are also one of a few sharks that can survive in both salt and “freshwater” (brackish) they have been found in many odd places that aren’t the beach! #SharkWeek #Shark #BullShark
