Great that the starlings are still doing their thing. I read an article some time ago that said light pollution had badly affected the murmuration. Perhaps they've just got used to it.

I recognise and acknowledge that many people sustain unsupportable losses through no fault of their own, and others are happy to help financially if they can. I'm referring more to the ingrained reluctance to ask for help or have others know their business that's been a constant in how I was raised.

Isn't it pretty? I'm told it's part of what used to be a rock-encircled natural swimming pool complete with man-made diving board. By the looks of it that was the 'deep end' and indeed for a rock pool it was actually quite deep. I had my eye on my two terriers in case they blundered in.
